Association for developing the recycling of PVC in the Automotive Industry

Presentation of AUTOVINYLE

On the 23rd of January 1997, various companies * involved, for different reasons in automotive PVC came together to create the Association AUTOVINYLE and put together their know-how and means to set up an industrial route for the recycling of plasticised PVC used in the automotive industry. This creation also represented for these companies the means to express their willingness to find a solution to the issue of automotive PVC waste coming from End-of-life vehicles (ELV) and production scraps.

Since September 2000, a European Directive concerning re-use and recycling of ELV has confirmed that the key players on the topic had to act. That is the reason why we have created this AUTOVINYLE Internet site in order to inform a large audience apart from specialists about the goals of the Association and the concrete results already obtained, knowing that a heavy task has still to be performed.

So, anyone who wants to participate in this task among carmakers, system suppliers and PVC producers is invited to join the association. They will be welcome and they will contribute to a useful task for a better environment and sustainable development.
